Current Conditions:
Flows on the South Platte in Deckers are sitting around 130 cfs. It was a chilly day on the water with intermittent rain throughout, making for less-than-ideal conditions.
Once again, there was essentially zero bug activity to speak of. Not much in the air and nothing consistent coming off the water, which continues to be a bit puzzling given the time of year.
Despite that, we managed to scrape together a couple fish upstream of Tikka Masala Island. A few more were lost along the way, for reasons that were definitely not operator error and instead due to a wide variety of highly legitimate excuses.
We wrapped up the day near the Deckers bridge, where we spotted around a dozen fish holding in good water. Unfortunately, none of them showed any interest in what we were offering, despite repeated attempts and fly changes.
Water clarity remained good, but fish were extremely selective and generally unwilling to move far for a fly.

Overall, a cold, slower day with minimal bug activity and picky fish, but still enough action to keep things interesting.
